About Me

Born and raised amidst the vibrant heartbeat of Manhattan, New York, I was enveloped by a world where art, music, and dance thrived at every corner. Growing up in such a culturally rich environment nurtured my innate curiosity and passion for artistic expressions.

My formal artistic education took root at Pratt University, where I delved deep into the world of art, honing my skills and refining my artistic voice. Yet, as life often unfolds in unexpected ways, upon graduation, I embraced the beautiful journey of motherhood. Raising my three wonderful children has been my most cherished role, a journey that not only enriched my soul but also profoundly shaped my artistic sensibilities. The act of nurturing and opening my heart expanded my capacity to connect, empathize, and perceive the world through a myriad of emotional hues.

Now residing in the serene landscapes of Palm Springs, CA, I serve as a docent at the Palm Springs Art Museum, where I passionately guide visitors through the intricate world of the glass gallery. My fascination with the history and evolution of glass as an artistic medium knows no bounds, serving as a canvas that allows me to channel my wonder, joy, and deep-rooted connection with the world.

My artistic endeavors predominantly center around the mesmerizing interplay of Plexiglass and acrylic paints. What sets my work apart is the ancient technique of reverse painting—a method revered in Persia, cherished in China, and celebrated across Europe. This intricate process involves painting in reverse on Plexiglass, allowing the depth and clarity of the material to amplify the vibrancy and dynamism of the colors, creating a visual symphony that captivates and enchants.

Inspired by the ethereal qualities of light and the boundless beauty found in nature's chaos, my designs aim to evoke a sense of positivity and vibrancy. Each piece is a testament to my fascination with the transformative power of color, inviting the viewer into a world where the ordinary transcends into the extraordinary. My hope is for collectors to discover new nuances with each viewing, forging a profound and enduring connection with my work.

Through the crystal lens of Plexiglass, I endeavor to encapsulate the ever-changing dance of light and color, inviting viewers on a journey of discovery, reflection, and connection. My art is a celebration of life's beauty, a testament to the timeless allure of artistic expression, and a heartfelt invitation to embrace the extraordinary in the ordinary.
